With over 25 years in human resources, I have seen most things to do with people at work. I am a huge believer in getting the HR basics right to prevent 90% of the problems. Having worked as a chef in my first career, I am aware of the demands small business owners face so aim to ensure that the solutions we develop together are straightforward, pragmatic and sustainable.
I have worked in specialist roles in remuneration, HR technology and change management, as well as being doing HR generalist work – everything from typing in leave forms to being the head of HR. I get a huge amount of satisfaction helping small business owners and managers to help their businesses grow by getting the “people stuff” right.
My kids recently left home so I am rediscovering the joys of a peaceful and quiet home life. I am hoping to return to part time study next year and am planning road trips around New Zealand to get me to all the places I haven’t been.
